Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 2026
This policy explains what information Ask Health collects through our website, our phone and fax lines, and our text messaging program — how we use it, when we share it, and what you can ask us to do with it. It is written in plain English rather than legal shorthand.
In this policy, "Ask Health," "we," and "us" mean the Ask Health organization that operates this website, our general contact channels, and our text messaging program. Clinical care is delivered by the medical practice described in the next section.
Who this policy covers
Ask Health supports hospitals and post-acute care facilities in caring for patients where they already live, using a combination of in-person specialty clinicians and digital monitoring.
All clinical services are provided by licensed physicians and clinicians practicing within an independently owned and operated medical practice, Ask Health PA. Ask Health LLP does not provide any medical, nursing, or other healthcare provider services.
This policy describes the information handled through this website, our general contact channels, and our SMS program. It does not govern the medical record the practice creates when it treats a patient. If you become a patient, the practice will tell you directly how it handles your medical information, and those terms apply to that record.
Do not use this website, email, or text messages in an emergency
If you or someone you are with is experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department. Do not use the contact form, email, or text messages to report an emergency. These channels are not monitored around the clock, and no one is standing by to respond immediately.
The contact form is not a channel for clinical advice, diagnosis, prescriptions, or treatment decisions. Please do not use it to ask a clinical question about a specific patient.
Email and SMS are not secure channels. Messages can be intercepted, forwarded, or read by anyone with access to the device or account they land on. Please do not send detailed medical history, test results, medication lists, insurance identifiers, or other sensitive clinical information by email or text. If we need that information, we will tell you a safer way to send it.
Information we collect
Information you give us
When you submit the contact form on this website, we collect:
- First name and last name
- Email address
- Phone number (optional)
- Your role — for example, family caregiver, clinician, facility, or hospital
- The message you write
We also collect whatever you choose to tell us when you call our main line, send a fax, or reply to one of our emails or text messages.
You control how much you write in the message field. Please include only what we need in order to route your enquiry to the right person.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, ours records basic technical information when a page is loaded. This may include your IP address, browser type and version, device type, the pages you viewed, the page that referred you, and the date and time of the visit. This information sits in standard server logs and aggregate analytics, and we use it to keep the site working, diagnose errors, and understand which pages people actually find useful.
We do not use this technical information to try to identify individual visitors, and we do not build advertising profiles from it.
Cookies
The site may use a small number of cookies or similar storage to remember basic preferences and to compile aggregate visit statistics. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking them may change how parts of the site behave, but it will not stop you from reading the site or contacting us by phone.
How we use your information
We use the information described above to:
- Respond to your enquiry and follow up with you
- Route your message to the right people inside our organization or the medical practice
- Coordinate conversations about care, referrals, coverage, or onboarding a facility or hospital
- Send appointment-related and service-related text messages, if you have given us permission
- Keep records of the enquiries we receive and how they were handled
- Operate, secure, and improve the website
- Meet legal, regulatory, and professional obligations
We do not sell your information. We do not use the information you submit through this website to send you marketing from other companies.
Mobile information is never sold or shared with third parties or lead generators for marketing
This section covers our text messaging program specifically. It is written to be unambiguous.
Mobile information and phone numbers collected for our SMS program are never sold, rented, leased, or shared with third parties, affiliates, lead generators, data brokers, or marketing partners for marketing or promotional purposes. No mobile information is shared with any third party or affiliate for its own marketing or promotional purposes — ever.
Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third party.
The only companies that ever handle your number, and why
A text message cannot reach a phone without passing through the companies that transmit it. Your mobile number is disclosed to the messaging platform we use, to the telecommunications carriers that carry the message, and to support vendors that operate the program on our behalf — solely so that the messages you asked for reach you, and only on our instructions. These providers may not use, sell, or share your number for their own marketing or promotional purposes, and may not pass it to anyone else for marketing. They handle your number as our service providers, not as third parties receiving it for their own use.
What the messaging program is
Messages are sent by Ask Health. If you give permission, you may receive recurring SMS/text messages about appointment scheduling, appointment confirmations and reminders, care coordination follow-up, and replies to questions you have sent us.
We do not send third-party advertising by text, and we never use your number for another company's marketing. We keep clinical detail in text messages to a minimum. Text messaging is not a secure channel, so please do not reply with sensitive clinical information. Never use text messages to report an emergency — call 911.
How we ask for your consent
Wherever we ask permission to text you — on this website, on a paper or digital form, or in person — SMS consent is its own separate, unchecked box. It is never pre-ticked, it is never bundled into acceptance of our Terms or this Privacy Policy, and ticking one thing is never treated as ticking another. Our Privacy Policy and Messaging Terms are linked directly beside the mobile number field so you can read them before you agree.
The consent box reads:
"I agree to receive recurring SMS/text messages from Ask Health at the mobile number I provide. Messages may include appointment scheduling, confirmations, reminders, care coordination follow-up, and support. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase or of receiving care."
Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchase and is not a condition of receiving any service or care from Ask Health. You can decline text messages and still contact us, be seen, and be served in exactly the same way. We will simply reach you by phone or email instead.
We text a number only when the person who uses that number has given us permission directly. We do not buy, rent, or accept mobile numbers from lead generators, data brokers, or purchased lists, and we do not text numbers handed to us by anyone else for marketing. Please give us a mobile number only if you are the account holder or have the account holder's permission, and tell us if your number changes so that we do not text someone who never asked to hear from us.
We keep a record of when and how consent was given, and of any opt-out, so that we can honor your choice and show that we honored it.
Message frequency, rates, and how to stop
- Message frequency varies depending on your situation and the appointments involved.
- Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan.
- Reply STOP to cancel at any time. You will receive one confirmation message and then no further messages from that program.
- Reply HELP for help, or contact us at (551) 277-4441 or support@askhealth.org.
- Delivery is not guaranteed. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Opting out of text messages does not remove you from our records and does not stop us from contacting you by phone or email about something you asked us about.
How we share information — and how we do not
We share information only in these situations
- Service providers. Companies that host our website, deliver our email, transmit our text messages, or provide similar operational support. They may use the information only to perform that work for us.
- Clinical coordination. If your enquiry concerns care, we pass the relevant details to the clinicians and staff of the medical practice, Ask Health PA, and to the hospital or facility involved in that person's care, so the right people can follow up.
- Legal requirements. When we are required to disclose information by law, subpoena, court order, or a lawful government request, or where disclosure is necessary to protect the safety of a person, investigate suspected fraud, or defend our legal rights.
We do not do the following
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not rent or trade your contact details.
- We do not share your mobile number or your SMS consent with lead generators, data brokers, or marketing companies.
- We do not use the details of your enquiry to target you with third-party advertising.
How long we keep information
We keep contact form submissions and related correspondence for as long as we need them to answer your enquiry and to maintain a reasonable business record of it, and then for as long as required by applicable law or professional recordkeeping obligations. Records of SMS consent and opt-out are kept for as long as we operate the messaging program, so that your choice is honored. Server logs and aggregate analytics are kept for a shorter period and then discarded or aggregated so they no longer identify a device.
Clinical records created by the medical practice in the course of care are retained under that practice's own retention obligations, which are separate from this policy.
How we protect information
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards intended to protect the information we hold. These include an encrypted connection to this website, access to systems limited to the people who need it, and agreements with our service providers that restrict how they may use the information we share with them.
No website, email system, or text messaging service is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee that information sent to us over the internet or a mobile network will never be intercepted. That is why we ask you not to send sensitive clinical details through the contact form, email, or SMS.
Your choices and your rights
You can ask us to:
- Tell you what we hold. Request a copy of the personal information we have about you.
- Correct it. Ask us to fix information that is wrong or out of date.
- Delete it. Ask us to delete information we no longer need to keep. We may have to retain some records where law or professional obligations require it, and we will tell you if that applies.
- Stop texting you. Reply STOP to any message, or ask us directly.
- Stop emailing you. Ask us to remove you from any non-essential email.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy law. Contact us using the details below and we will respond, and we will not treat you differently for exercising a privacy right. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request, so that we do not release someone else's information to the wrong person.
Requests about a patient's medical record should be directed to the medical practice, since those records are held there rather than by the website.
Children's privacy
This website is intended for adults — caregivers, clinicians, facilities, and hospitals. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through this site or enroll them in our text messaging program. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact us and we will delete it. Where a minor is a patient, information about that minor is handled by the medical practice through a parent or legal guardian.
Other websites
Our site may link to hospitals, facilities, professional organizations, or other outside resources. We do not control those sites, and their privacy practices are their own. Read their policies before giving them information.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of the page and post the new version here. Material changes to how we handle mobile information or SMS consent will be described plainly rather than buried.
